Welcome to our regional website. We are strategically located just ten miles from the state capitol in Sacramento. Our region extends from Fresno to the Oregon border and 2,800 miles out into the Pacific Ocean where we have member schools on the five major islands of Hawaii. Our staff has extensive experience in Christian education and is ready to assist you in any way we can.

My name is Rohn Ritzema, and I have served ACSI as Director of the Northern California/Hawaii Region for 18 years. My educational career covers 30 years. I have been an administrator of both a church-sponsored school and an independent Christian school. I am very fortunate to work with a strong team, a well-qualified seasoned staff who are prepared to help you in your ministry. I am thankful for my wife Jane [we celebrated 36 years of marriage in June] who is also an educator and counselor. I have two sons who attended only Christian schools their entire educational experience.

Our region encompasses only one-and-a-half states but represents 337 schools serving 55,420 students. Because our office is located in the capital city of California, one of my responsibilities is to monitor legislation that impacts Christian schools. This has proven to be a rewarding and often frustrating challenge.
