We invite all administrators and early education directors to attend our 2008 Regional Administrators’ Meetings which will be held around the state in September. These informative meetings will update you on ACSI services as well as educational issues facing our Christian schools. This will also be an opportunity for fellowship and prayer as we begin a new school year.

Regional meetings are scheduled for the following dates and locations:

• Sept. 10 - Sheridan Hills Christian School, Hollywood
• Sept. 11 - Calvary Christian High School, Clearwater
• Sept. 16 - Small Wonders Preschool, Lakeland (EE only)
• Sept. 17 - The First Academy, Orlando
• Sept. 19 - First Steps Preschool, Ocala (EE only)
• Sept. 24 - SW Florida Christian Academy, Ft. Myers
• Sept. 26 - Jubilee Christian Academy, Pensacola
• Sept. 29 - Mandarin Christian School, Jacksonville

The meetings will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 1:00 p.m. Lunch is available for $6.00 per person. For more information, directions, and lunch reservations, please call the host school listed above.

Small and medium-sized Christian schools face unique challenges and opportunities as they minister to the students and families in their community. ACSI recognizes that services need to be developed to provide guidance and direction for the administrators of these schools so that they can effectively teach and educate the young people the Lord has given them.

The Small/Medium School Conference will be held on Monday and Tuesday, October 27-28, 2008, at The First Academy in Orlando. The conference will begin with registration at 12:00 noon on Monday, and conclude on Tuesday at around 1:30 p.m. 

The format for the conference will be roundtable discussion groups that will focus on a number of topics relating to small and medium-sized school ministries. In addition to the discussion groups, this will also be an excellent time for networking and establishing friendships with the other administrators from around the state. Topics will include “The Changing Culture and Christian Education”, “Funding the Small/Medium School”, “Spiritual Formation”, “Ever-Changing Technology”, “Shifting Demographics in Florida”, “Challenges to Retaining Teachers”, and many more!
